One Week Old!

We have survived a whole week with a newborn!  Yay us!  Fin has been such a trooper putting up with moving into our house and putting up with everyone!  We are doing well....except struggling with his billiruben level and some tummy issues.  The whites of Finley's eyes turned yellow on Saturday and they have stayed that way since then.  He is also extremely tan looking, but that is not his normal color....it is from being jaundice.  Henry was jaundice as well, but not like this!  That being said, we got worried on Sunday when he had not had any poopy diapers and he was so yellow, so we went and had his levels tested and his billiruben level had jumped from a 7 on Friday to a 16 on Sunday.  20 is scary, so we were concerned about that.  Along with his level going up, he has been extremely fussy and since Henry had all of those tummy issues, it is worrying me that Finley will too.  With all of that in mind, we changed him to soy formula on Sunday as well after 2 rounds of Pedialite.  We had a rough Monday with the switch, but he is doing a little better now....not 100%, but he is not screaming as much.  We shall see! 

Other than all of that, we have been doing well!  We have had lots of visitors who have so thoughtfully brought Fin and Hen gifts....thanks y'all, and we have had our normal routine of school and life!  Thankfully both sets of grandparents have been awesome help!

Since he is so jaundice, the doctor recommended putting him in the sunlight for a little while every day.  SO, it was only appropriate for him to wear the shirt his Uncle Brent and Aunt Jess got him with a big sun on the front!  Hopefully that helped too!
