And the gold goes to.....

Henry and I have been attending a class at The Little Gym since January.  The Little Gym is a children's gym that helps to "build motor skills in a fun and nurturing environment, while fostering enhanced emotional, intellectual and social skills" (Little Gym's website explanation).  We have thoroughly enjoyed our semester and plan on going back in the fall.  Henry is in the Birds class which is children 9 months to 18 months.  He started out a little early, but was doing just as well as the older kids, so we kept him in that class.  Over the semester, Henry and I have learned a ton of new skills for him and for me to work on with him.
Yesterday was the last class and everyone was invited....sort of like his recital!  Well, since we have such supportive parents, Henry was the winner for the loudest cheering squad!  I am posting some pictures Beau took during class to show you how much he loved going!

The Wheelbarrow!

I thought this was good with the sign in the background!

Overhead flip over mommy....he loves this!!!

Parachute fun!  Henry is not overly excited about this activity.

Here Henry has a ton of fun climbing over and down safely...unlike the tables at our house.

Balance Beam!

Hanging from the high bars!

Rolling....

to a front roll.

Back handspring after doing a somersault.

Balancing on the ball.

And lastly, his metal!  He got the GOLD!!!

He did not love wearing his metal, but instead playing with it in a typical 14 month old fashion!

Grammie and Papa loved attending Henry's first "recital"!! It is amazing to us how coordinated his motor skills are at such an early age. (We probably shouldn't be surprised since both of his parents walked at an early age and are both athletic.) We are also really glad that it does not look like Henry will ever be a couch potato!!
